Oh Mykonos. Where do I even begin? Out of everything we did in Greece, I would consider this “the party island”. We stayed at Paradise Beach Resort and that is exactly what it was. It’s a complex of bars, clubs, shops, the beach and restaurants. It was the perfect place to spend our last two days. The rooms were nice and roomy for us and we were ready to enjoy paradise.

There’s a club right there on the beach called Guapaloca that is the epitome of fun. They have events all day long, from toga parties to bodypaint parties at night, there was always something to do. The below video describes our time at Paradise Beach better than I think I ever could. It can be a wild time, if you want it to…otherwise there are some great chairs to just relax on the beach!
We met up that night at Cavo Paradiso, which is amazing. It has a pool, the best view of Paradise Bay and a great dancefloor. Make time to go here, especially during the busier season when they have great DJs come play.
The next day began with another boat cruise, a little more classy than the first one, but just as much fun! We anchored at a couple of private beaches where we got to just swim and hang out. A really delicious lunch was included as well.

That night we headed into town for dinner and one last hurrah as a group. These 25 people became something very important to me throughout this trip, so thank goodness for EF College Break for bringing us together. A few of us had some fun at The Scandinavian Bar in town, that I’m sure gets pretty crazy during the busier season but there weren’t too many people there that night. So our bartender definitely took care of us! My two roommates and I bought tank tops as we left town that night that said “Dance Drink Never Sleep Mykonos” and that’s exactly what we did.
We all had to say goodbye to each other the following night back in Athens, after having one last traditional Greek meal with some Greek dancing included. Our time together really flew by and we all made memories that will last a lifetime. Our group plans to reunite in New York in April of 2017, so I’m looking forward to it. If you’ve ever been hesitant to travel alone or travel with a group of strangers, don’t be. I am better off because of my travel experiences with EF College Break. I’ve made lifelong friends and I can’t wait for my next adventure. Thanks for the memories Greece! OPA!
Happy travels! 🙂
